Sutherland’s servo hydraulic presses are custom-built to deliver outstanding precision and reliable operation to a wide variety of applications. Our combination of active fluid management and advanced servo motors adjusts fluid volume and motor speed to match the workload required, optimizing press performance while greatly reducing energy consumption.

Fully programmable motion profiles, new advanced fluid management, I-PRESS automation control.
FULLY PROGRAMMABLE MOTION PROFILES: For position, pressure and speeds allow more forming in one stroke and reduce secondary operations. Reduced energy consumption and lower maintenance when compared to conventional hydraulic presses. Unlimited full tonnage at any point in the stroke, unlike servo mechanical presses.
NEW FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: Designed with performance and maintenance in mind, our fluid management systems have limited piping, faster flow rates and quicker response times. Our manifolds are equipped with dual safety rated control valves and pressure testing ports for each valve. The I-PRESS® control has a screen that displays a valve action chart in color for ease of maintenance.
I-PRESS® SERVO HYDRAULIC PRESS & AUTOMATION CONTROL: One of many outstanding features is our Multi-Point Job Memory set up screen. This allows users to change pressure, position and speed up to seven times during the downward motion of the slide. This allows more work to be done in one stroke and increases die life with optimized stroke performance.

I-PRESS® & AUTOMATION CONTROLS: All Sutherland forge presses come standard with our I-PRESS® & Automation control systems. I-PRESS® is the most fully featured and safest control system available today. Thermal bearing temperatures are displayed on main run screen along with full automation controls. NEW X-SERIES HOT FORGE PRESS TECHNOLOGY: Our new X-SERIES hot forge presses have many design improvements including X-Angle slide guidance which allows thermal expansion while maintaining tight clearances. Larger eccentric shaft journal surfaces distribute loads, and clutch cooling systems all make for better presses and lower maintenance. Available in 660 to 4400 ton.
